Thomson announced the Symbio all-in-one DECT phone and wireless internet radio at the CeBIT technology event in Hannover.

The wireless DECT and VoIP phone features caller ID, which is displayed on a 128?128 colour screen; an address book for up to 200 names and numbers; and hands-free functions. It also provides a log of the 50 most recent incoming calls.

A number of options are available according to the particular model, including HD sound, SMS messaging, RSS feed management, and multi-line handling capability.

The fully-featured internet radio includes stereo speakers, and a built-in radio alarm clock.

The IP radio allows direct access to Internet radio stations worldwide and features personalised music services.

A rechargeable Li-ion battery is provided for portability. This provides over 6 hours’ listening time.

Pricing details for the phone have not yet been revealed.
